Help
How can we help?
Find answers about your account, wallet, purchases and services. If you do not find what you need, contact support.
Account
Sign-up, sign-in, passwords, PINs and verification.
How do I create an account?
Download the Ayamaz app and follow the sign-up steps. On supported devices you can also sign in with Google or Apple.
Get the app →I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in screen, choose the forgot-password option. We send a one-time code (OTP) to your email. Enter it with your new password. If you need a new code, wait a moment and request it again.
Why is my transaction PIN locked?
After several incorrect PIN attempts, PIN entry is locked for 15 minutes. You can wait, or reset your PIN in the app with a one-time code.
What is account verification, and do I need it?
Some features and daily limits depend on your verification level. You can verify with your BVN or NIN in the app, and higher levels ask for documents. The limits that apply to you are shown in your wallet.
How do I keep my account secure?
Do not share your PIN, password or one-time codes with anyone, including anyone who says they are from Ayamaz. Use a screen lock on your phone. If you think someone else has used your account, contact support straight away.
Wallet
Adding money, balances and top-up problems.
How do I add money to my wallet?
Open Wallet in the app to see your dedicated account number, then make a bank transfer to it from any Nigerian banking app. Your wallet is credited after our payment partner confirms the transfer.
How it works →I made a transfer but my wallet has not been credited.
Credit times depend on your bank and our payment partner, so allow a few minutes first. If it still has not arrived, contact support with the account number you paid, the amount, the time, and your bank's transfer reference.
Contact support →Where can I see my balance and spending limit?
In Wallet in the app. You can hide the balance on screen with the eye icon.
My wallet says it is locked.
A locked wallet cannot make purchases. Contact support and tell us the email or phone number on your account.
Contact support →Transactions
Pending, failed and reversed purchases, and receipts.
What do Successful, Pending, Failed and Reversed mean?
Successful: the provider confirmed delivery. Pending: we are still waiting for the provider to confirm, and the amount stays reserved in your wallet. Failed: the provider could not complete the purchase. Reversed: the reserved amount was returned to your wallet.
See how each status works →My purchase is pending. Should I buy again?
No. Wait for the result or the notification, so you do not pay twice. Check Transactions in the app for the latest status. If it stays pending for a long time, contact support with the reference.
My purchase failed. Do I get my money back?
If the provider confirms that the purchase failed, the reserved amount is returned to your wallet automatically and the transaction shows in your history. If you cannot see it, contact support with the reference.
Refund Policy →It says successful but I did not receive the airtime, data, token or PIN.
Report it within 7 days with the transaction reference, and the phone number, meter or smartcard you used. We will check with the provider and, if the service was not delivered, credit your wallet.
Contact support →Where do I find my reference and receipt?
Open Transactions in the app and select the purchase. The reference and receipt are there, and you can share the receipt as an image.
Services
Airtime, data, electricity, cable TV and exam PINs.
Which services can I buy?
Airtime, data, electricity tokens, cable TV subscriptions and WAEC PINs, plus bulk airtime and data. A service can be paused for a while if its provider is unavailable.
All services →Can I buy airtime or data for someone else?
Yes. Enter the recipient's number, on the network you selected.
Airtime →Can I pay for a postpaid electricity meter?
Not at the moment. Ayamaz supports prepaid meter tokens.
Electricity →Which exam PINs are available?
WAEC result-checker and registration PINs. Other exam bodies are not offered at the moment.
Exam PINs →Account management
Profile, password, PIN and closing your account.
How do I change my password or PIN?

How do I update my profile details?
Open Profile in the app and choose edit profile.
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion in the app from Profile, or on our account deletion page. We reply within 48 hours. That page explains what we remove and what we have to keep.
